As our renovations on The Warehouse began to draw to a close, Andy and I began planning our very first styled shoot to take place in the beginning of January. We knew this was important to do for a few reasons. Firstly, even as pretty as the space is, brides are going to have a difficult time imagining the potential of what a wedding could be like within it if there aren’t any examples to go off. And secondly, because we are marketing with The Knot this year (eeek!) and our very first print ad is due to them the second week of February in order to make it in the 2017 May edition of their magazine. So naturally, we need to put our very best face forward!
I am BEYOND grateful for the group of talented people I find myself connected to. One of my best friends Molli and her husband have an event rentals company in Austin and were incredibly generous with their assistance and donation of time and materials to our shoot. They drove up (two hours!) and supplied all of the beautiful chairs, tables, and accessories that really made the entire shoot shine. Two of our friends, Andrea and Joe, came out to model, and the wonderful Johannah from Wooden Pipe Photo lent us her time and skill and captured and directed and edited it all together. Andy and I pushed furniture around and styled everything, and the team just went to work. My heart was so full all day, everyone came together and worked to pull this vision off for Andy and I, and I’m so grateful.
And the images turned out beautifully. Here are just a few of my very favorites, and I will update with our advertisement when the magazine comes out in May!
